Olivier Willez

Olivier Willez joined Dear Krzewinski & Willez as a partner in March 2009. Previously, Olivier was a senior associate in the tax department of Loyens & Loeff Brussels.

Olivier graduated from the University of Louvain (U.C.L.1999) and also holds a master in tax management from the Solvay Business School, University of Brussels (U.L.B. 2001).

He focuses his practice on tax law (tax advice and tax litigation). As a tax attorney, his area of expertise covers both direct (individual and corporate income tax) and indirect taxes (VAT, registration duties, and wealth taxes). Olivier’s practice focuses on a broad range of international and domestic corporate tax issues. These issues include corporate restructuring, inward investments, holding and financing structures, transfer pricing, withholding tax requirements, double tax treaty matters, corporate and structured finance projects, mergers and acquisitions, real estate or management buy-outs. He also advises individuals on efficient remuneration techniques (salary splits, special status for expatriates in Belgium, etc) as well as on wealth optimisation planning.

He is the author of several publications on tax-related subjects and is a frequent speaker at tax conferences on a wide range of tax issues.
He has taught Belgian and international tax law at the University of Brussels (V.U.B.) – postmaster BICCS “Investing in Europe”.

Olivier is a member of the Brussels bar.

He speaks French, Dutch and English.
